“Who says you can’t reinvent the wheel”?
Neo industrial design just won a prestigious German IF Award in product design for the Concourse Smart Wheel , developed in Newcastle by Designer and Engineer Jon Pryer and Simon Bull for Australian Company Concourse Golf.
These wheels are the world’s first self-contained, remote controlled drive wheels, designed to transform almost any push buggy into an advanced powerhouse that mobilises your golf bag up and down the course remotely.
Each wheel is identical and contains its own motor, battery and gyroscopic sensors and coordinates with its mate and a remote handset via wifi. Conceptually you can fit the wheel to any push golf buggy to convert it to a powered / remote buggy………. or indeed fit them to anything.
The Innovative Smart Wheel is the latest in a number of international design award winning Golf Cart products designed by neoindustrialdesign for Concourse, and the product of extensive design concept development a prototyping conducted here in Newcastle. The product was production designed and now manufactured in Melbourne.
